José Pissolato Filho

 

JOSÉ PISSOLATO FILHO is a Professor at FEEC - School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UNICAMP – University of Campinas. He works in the field of Electrical Engineering, carrying out research in the following areas: power systems and techniques in high voltage; computational modeling of transmission lines for the study of electromagnetic phenomena; transients in power systems, ATP-EMTP, insulation coordination; atmospheric discharges, electromagnetic compatibility, among others.

He is coordinator of the High Voltage Laboratory of FEEC since 1988, conducting research and teaching activities and providing services to businesses and the community. He has supervised several MSc, PhD and post-doc students, having published over 270 technical papers, with about 35 of them in international journals. He coordinates research projects funded by agencies or companies. He is co-author of  the book Phase-Model Transformation Matrix Application for Transmission Line and Electromagnetic Transient Analysis, ed. Nova Science Pub Inc, 2011.

He is coordinator of the double degree at UNICAMP with the following French institutions: Central Schools, ParisTech Group, INSA Network and SUPELEC. He received the title of Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques from French government in 2012. He was Advisor to the UNICAMP International Relations from 08/2009 to 05/2014. He received the Bs. degree from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1977),  the Ms. degree from UNICAMP (1982) and the PhD degree from the Paul Sabatier University-Toulouse III, France (1986), all of them in Electrical Engineering.
